First Post! [29 Jun 2005|06:07pm]
[ mood | creative ]

Woot!! So I finally got it all put together! I started at about midnight last night, and created [info]souppisms. BUT! As you can see, that was a community that took me forEVER to learn how to delete. I didn't like how much space the icon took up in the entry, so....I decided to create just a normal journal.

So, after hours and hours of work, I finished a layout! This layout features our lovely little vampire man, Yuuhi. I jotted down all the words I could think of that started with "eu", and this one ended up being my favorite. AND OMGWTF what's with me and bright colors? I swear, there's something wrong with me. When I draw another relatively okay picture, the next layout shall be DARK.

I actually wanted to pursue this idea for quite some time, but...I never did until now Oo; I don't know why. Lack of courage? Probably. But then I decided I should do it for me :D And I did. And here I am. And wow, okay.

Anyway, this journal will be where I post all lots of my stories and chapters and pieces and other crappola I think up. I still have to fix up the userinfo and create at least one userpic (the Aeris one doesn't really suit the layout Oo;) before I get started. I'll be putting my personal ratings (G, T, OT, M :D) and their descriptions up before I post, so I know what to rate when I post xDD;

Be warned. I may never come out with a G-rated story. It'll be at LEAST T or OT. M, rare, but not completely out of the question xD; As soon as I grow up, I'll have more of those out.

Anyway! That's it for an introductory post. Now go. Leave me be.

Content Rating System [29 Jun 2005|08:19pm]
Below is the system I use to rate each of my stories. It may not be quite correct to all the other systems out there, but what do I care D:

G - General Audiences
I doubt I will ever give this rating out, but I should explain for the sake of having it. The G rating allows any reader of any age to read the content. There's no obscenities whatsoever.

T - Teens 13 and Under
Could be a bit of violence as well as some light language. Situations are more mature in both romance and action. The use of light weaponry (swords, sporks, etc.) or light alcohol use is not uncommon.

OT - Older Teens 14-16
Some rather heavey violence, which details blood and gore, stabbing, gun-slinging, etc. Foul language can be tastefully common. Romance may feature mature situations or implications, but nothing too explicit. May contain alcohol and/or drug use.

M - Mature 17+
Explicit everything mentioned in OT.

Story Appearances [29 Jun 2005|09:55pm]
Below is a list of the stories that will most likely appear in this journal. The following does not include every story I have ever written.

Notes on Ratings: "Mature situations" can mean anything from sexual confrontations to death, and "Romantic situations" aren't always necessarily about love, per se, but a lighter form of sexual confrontation.

Notes on Genres: The genres go in order from most to least. So take "Eulalia" for example: it's mainly fiction-based in the real world, and there's a slight possibility that there could be romance.

Comedy is a pretty common one for me, because I love to laugh. Even if comedy isn't listed, it's usually because I didn't try to put humor in there (it comes out either way). Also, Drama I think is listed in pretty much every story here. What's a story without drama??

Probable Appearances

Eulalia
What it is: During Christmas of '04, I had a laptop, but nothing else to do. So, I sat down to write. The main character was a character that I've wanted to do for the longest time. She's so much fun to work with, and especially her pals. I put a LOT more effort than usual into developing each character (not saying that I just blow it off with other stories, I just put extra sculpting into these guys).
What it’s about: Eulalia is a fearless and emotionless Junior in high school, and she believes that anything can be done if you set the right path and walk the right steps. One day, however, those steps lead her straight into trouble. While on her way home from school, she runs into a small posse of self-proclaimed gods. From that step on, they follow her, and have suddenly made themselves very comfortable in her house. Unable to shoo them away, Eulalia must now find the right steps down the right path in order to lead them away forever. But before she can find that path, she finds herself being confronted with strange figures--including a "god" in the image of the person she would least like to even spare a quick glance upon.
Length: 5+ chapters.
Rating: T - Very light violence; mature situations
Genres: Fiction; partial fantasy; comedy; drama; romance?

(currently without a title)
What it is: This is a potential story currently in development. I took a different story that I had created awhile back and changed it around so that it was more appealing for me to write. I created a bunch of more interesting characters (people you would NOT expect to be playing the parts they do), and I'm exceptionally proud of the way they came out. Everything I put here will be pretty tentative.
What it’s about: Mathias and his other five Zephaniah Knights of legend are hardly the image of the great Knights of old. His team, still quite young and varied in age, are fighting to keep the Knights alive. Their battles include taking down entire opposing armies, sealing the Evils, locating ancient books and treasures--and that's just on their days off. Yet something drastic is about to happen, which will send them into a mission they were hardly ready for.
Length: 1+ chapters.
Rating: T - OT (?)- Violence; light graphic detail; mature situations; use of weapons; use of guns; use of alcohol; mature situations
Genres: Fantasy/fiction; action; drama; comedy; mystery; romance?

Alice III
What it is: This story originally began as a spoofy thought. Icki and Kea began their own spoof, but after awhile I didn't really find too much excitement with it (I did enough to want to read their version). Later my dear friend showed me these awesome sketches of Alice and the Hatter human-ized and mature-ized, as well as gothic-ized. So, I decided I wanted my own version too. The fact that it's not teasing enough to be a parody means I won't be able to publish until I buy off the copyright laws (and since they're owned by Disney, they can't be very cheap), or Volo agrees to publish me.
What it’s about: Following a strange man had led her through a strange door, down a strange aimless fall, and face-to-face with a strange...bright pink emu!? A girl travels a mysterious wonderland in order to claw her way back home, and somehow ends up with the name "Alice". She doesn't remember her real name, but she also doesn't know her way home. Guided by a group of odd men, although not bitter to the eye, she must fight her way home, or face a more than fatal encounter with the ruler of wonderland.
Length: 22+ chapters.
Rating: OT - Light violence; light graphic detail; mature situations; light language
Genres: Fantasy/fiction; comedy; drama; you might call it romance

Of Mare
What it is: I wanted to write a story that was completely fantasy and mystical. Mainstream fiction was getting boring, anyway. So, daydreaming in my Biology class, I came up with a wack-tacular idear. Like many authors, I wanted to break rules...LOTS of rules. That's what fantasy writers tend to do. So, I figured the first story. Then, I took my collection of old, old neglected stories, and made Of Mare into a non-related series. Woot.
What it’s about: Er-hem...
1.) Ensnared: Raea thrives alone in a small town, whose ancestors were once rebels from the kingdom. After meeting a young dragon, however, her life snaps into a different direction. Now, in order to save her town and the people she had taken care of her since birth, she must confront the empire. Of course, she must first make it to the empire.
2.) Clouded: Kaea is the oddball of a desert town. Her black hair and silver eyes bring her much prejudice and scorn. However, after a vengeful king decides to execute the town whose people had killed his sister, she will be the one to bring the survivors together and guide them through the scorching sands of the desert, and straight into the king's hands so that they might satisfy the lust for their own revenge.
3.) Estranged: Li was abducted from her family while she was just a baby. Trained ruthlessly, she managed to escape by the skin off her back. Labeled simply as "Number 64", she escapes her imprisonment before the truth of her being is discovered, and she crashes in mid-duel between two rivals. With their guidance, the two men teach her what it is to be human and live, instead of to kill. Yet Li soon encounters competition from a beautiful young woman, who seeks to crush Li's new life.
4.) Sonata: Maea is on a job -- not for money, but for her dignity. Her father had convinced her that her only place was at home and to follow her duties there. With her determination, however, she is elected to be one of two who spy on the enemy kingdom. With bitter distaste for one another, the three must act as companions and infiltrate the kingdom, or be killed in trying.
5.) Forgotten: Saea and her life-long friend have been struggling on the streets for as long as they can remember. But suddenly they are caught, and forced into a mission with several other intimidating individuals in order to warn an allied state of enemy threat. Along the way, however, they find several who seek to stop them.
6.) Retribution: Short, small, quiet, and usually left behind, Taea is a girl with a simple past and, as far as she knew, a simple future. Yet one day at school she is recruited along with several other upperclassmen for severe training. The reason? "We will need strong leaders for our future, and our past." Bitterly following the blunt explanation, the students endure...until one day when the skies turn red from sunset, and the island is left to sink with disaster.
7.) Voyage: Faea's island is the most powerful in all the world. Her school consists only of students who were born with an elemental power. She is a Guardian, one of the most powerful students her age, of the school, and she loves it. Yet during one nightmarish evening, she realizes how corruptive power can be, and that the previous guardians had plans to gain more power from their old school.
Length: --
Rating: T - Light violence; light graphic detail; romantic situations; mature situations; use of weapons
Genres: (varies) Fantasy/fiction; sci-fi; drama; action; romance

Show Me Eternity (rewrite)
What it is: My first story. The first one I truly put my heart into, and the first one I finished. Around 500 pages and 26 chapters, I consider this story now my...er...training period. It was written during freshmen year, anyway, so that should say enough about it. I did adore my story, and I still do, so, with that in mind, I've started the long project of rewriting. Wee-hoo.
What it’s about: Awaking in the middle of a grassy field, Silver Moon has no memories of her life at home--in a different world. Without the slightest lead, she must rely on complete strangers to help her find home before she looses herself--or loses to herself. Yet, who can she trust and what's awaiting her as she travels across the dreamlike world, Eternity?
Length: 26 chapters.
Rating: T - Light violence; use of weapons; some graphic detail; romantic situations
Genres: Fantasy/fiction; action; drama; romance; comedy

Possible Appearances

Losing Faith's Divinity
What it is: This oddball creation is based off very strange internet encounters. I won't say anymore about that, because that is what this story is about. So, the description of what it is shall be a bit scanty.
What it’s about: Evelyn is a normal girl, utterly blonde, naïve, and incapable of understanding the basics of life. Her goal is to make it to a substantial college, despite her single parent's lack of funding. She meets Kyoko, a Japanese girl who harbors much more to her past than it seems. Slowly Evelyn learns what life on the street is like with gang fights, drugs, depression, and love. Yet ever so slowly, she discovers who she is, and transforms those around her.
Length: 6+ chapters.
Rating: M - Violence; light graphic detail; use of guns; use of drugs; use of alcohol; heavy language; mature situations
Genres: Fiction; drama; romance; comedy

Snow Cold (temporary title)
What it is: Because I created an Alice in Wonderland story, I wanted to create a Snow White and the Seven Dwarves story. But instead of the girl being all cute and friendly, this girl is as coooold as snow ::shivers:: And she holds a secret, not very nice of her. Bad her, bad.
What it’s about: Wolf and Ravi are two friends, who help raise the young girl, Raven. On a cold, rainy night, they are shaken when suddenly they hear laughing echoing between the forest trees. After searching for the source, they find a woman, beaten and bleeding on the ground. The woman shows her obvious secretive intentions, and hires the two men to guide her to a certain kingdom. Along the way they meet others who find interest in the strange woman, or who are on their way to the kingdom themselves. Each of the travelers bears their own secret, and it could either tear them all apart, or bring them to their goal.
Length: 1+ chapters.
Rating: OT - Violence; light graphic detail; use of weapons; romantic situations; mature situations
Genres: Fantasy/fiction; comedy; drama; romance?

The Court of the Seven Skies (rewrite)
What it is: This is the second story I put my heart into. One day I was reading (which I, surprisingly, don't do very often), and while I was reading, I got a strange inspiration. That day, I just sat down and wrote whatever hopped into my head. So, it really came out poorly, but it was hilarious. Either way, I decided to rewrite it because my mind has since then matured.
What it’s about: The gods of demons and humans began the Everlasting War. Kirin, half demon, half human, finds herself caught up in it. Recruited by a sorcerer who she owes her life to, she and three other demons must safely bring this sorcerer two humans. Along the way, however, she begins to learn more and more about who she is, and more and more about the past she never had.
Length: 14+ chapters.
Rating: T - OT - Violence; varied graphic detail; use of weapons; romantic situations; mature situations
Genres: Fantasy/fiction; comedy; action; drama
